Sarah McLean, author of Soul-Centered: Transform Your Life in 8 Weeks with Meditation (Hay House, 2012), Simple, Easy, Every Day Meditation (Delhi International Press, 2013), and The Power of Attention: Awaken to Love and its Unlimited Potential with Meditation (Hay House, 2017). She is a globetrotting contemporary meditation teacher and the founding director of the McLean Meditation Institute in Sedona, Arizona. She aims to support and educate people seeking fulfilling lives, better health, inner peace, and self-awareness through meditation.
McLean’s own 28-year journey with meditation includes living and working in a Transcendental Meditation Community where she first explored the mind/body connection. She was a resident of a Zen Buddhist monastery and she spent six months in an ashram in India. Sarah was a founding director of Deepak Chopra’s mind-body health center, worked with Gary Zukav, author of Seat of the Soul, and Byron Katie, founder of The Work.
Sarah has served as a stress-reduction expert to prominent organizations such as Proctor & Gamble, the Young Presidents’ Organizations, and Thunderbird School of Global Management. She’s been featured in The New York Times, Huffington Post, Forbes Magazine, The Guardian, ABC, AOL, Spa Magazine, and her work has made the Amazon Bestseller list, as well as the Los Angeles Times Book Picks for Summer 2012. Her meditation CD has received rave reviews on Amazon, and she was featured in two films, Tapping the Source and Sacred Journey of the Heart.
